Check of time of an advancing of ignition
|
Before engine start, translate the transmission lever in "neutral" position (in models with A/в a range "P"), and establish a lay brake. |
|
- Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature.
- Be convinced that all electric loading besides ignition is disconnected.
- Check up and be convinced that speed of idling corresponds to the specification.
- Establish time of an advancing of ignition as follows [using scanner SUZUKI].
|
- Connect scanner SUZUKI to DLC (1) at the switched off ignition, again start the engine and establish time of an advancing of ignition, using a mode of the fixed spark of scanner SUZUKI. The special tool (A): scanner SUZUKI.

- [Without using scanner SUZUKI] (for a vehicle with a socket for the monitor): earth for check a conclusion of the switch (2) in diagnostics socket (white) (1) using an office wire to fix time of an advancing of ignition as the initial.

- Establish a stroboscope on a wire of a high voltage for the cylinder №1.
- Using a stroboscope, check up and be convinced that advancing time corresponds to the specification. A point of sight-initial time of an advancing of ignition (check at the earthed conclusion of the switch): 5 1 BTDC. An ignition order: 1-3-4-2. The special tool (A): 09930-76420.

- If ignition advancing time does not correspond to the specification, inspect as follows. For a vehicle equipped with the resistor of an advancing of ignition (2).

- If result of check unsatisfactory, replace the resistor of ignition with consecutive number (3) on original to check up, there corresponds initial time of an advancing of ignition of the specification.
|
- Choose and check up the resistor with the following consecutive number, specified time of an advancing of ignition will not be received yet. For example, if the served vehicle has the resistor of ignition with number "5", initial time of an advancing of ignition can be changed, having replaced it on "4" or "N".

If the resistor ignition has been replaced, necessarily replace a label of ignition which is put on a cover of a belt of a drive of the distributive mechanism (4) on having the same symbol, as on the resistor of ignition (5). |

- For the vehicle which has been not equipped with the resistor of an advancing of ignition. Check up the following:
- CMP-sensor control and CKP-sensor control (if is)
- Alarm rotor on a cam-shaft
- TP-sensor control
- VSS
- Installation of a pulley of a kolenvala/cover of a belt of a drive distributive the mechanism
- After check, leave a mode of the fixed giving of a spark of Scanner SUZUKI or remove an office wire from diagnostics socket.

Driving at the earthed conclusion of the switch can become the reason of damage of the catalyst. Necessarily disconnect an office wire after adjustment. |

In this condition time of an advancing of ignition can vary in comparison with initial time of an advancing of ignition, but it is normal. |
- At engine work idling (position with the closed throttle and at a vehicle stop), check up that time of an advancing of ignition nearby BTDC 6 - 10 . Also check up that the increase in speed of the engine accelerates time of an advancing of ignition. If results of check are above unsatisfactory, check up the entrance signals connected with system of ignition.
